The Glass Box
The viewer approaches the installation to look into the glass box. The glass box will contain a receipt with logs of data generated beforehand. One of the dummy cameras is installed with an ultrasonic sensor attached to an Arduino that was stuck to the top of the camera. The ultrasonic sensor is constantly feeding into the Raspberry Pi the distance between the CCTV camera and the viewer. Once the viewer gets in the vicinity of the glass box, the thermal printer automatically prints out a log of data. The receipt is not to be cut and is to be left dangling out of the printer until the whole receipt roll is finished and replaced. This will leave a footprint of every viewer that approaches the piece, a receipt will come out each time just like parking lot machines and any form of queue measurement system. The glass box may be filled with the log of data printed from the thermal printer once it is finished.
